It is a requirement of the Workers Compensation legislation that all employers must have a RTW Program describing their Workers Compensation Management processes.
SIRA have specific criteria that they need to see included in these RTW programs, so Trinity Insurance have created templates for our policy holders to make this process as simple as possible. Please see the Employer RTW Toolkit located on trinityinsurance.au site under Useful Resources.
Category 1
Employers are those with 20 or more employees and the RTW Program is relatively complex. You can download a copy of the Trinity Insurance template from the Trinity website.
Category 2
Employers are those with less than 20 employees and these employers can use the standard template document included on the SIRA website.
Is your RTW Coordinator trained?
SIRA has rewritten its RTW Coordinator training, and it is now an easy, free,
e-learning process that should take a total of approx. 5.5 hrs instead of the 2 days face to face training that was standard prior to 2019. This training is broken up into 15 modules that can be completed gradually.
N.B: All Category 1 employers must have a trained RTW Coordinator.
